Transportation

The smaller regional air carrier in Turkey is AJet. It usually flies out of Ankara's main Esenboga airport (ESB), or the smaller Istanbul airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW). Istanbul's main international airport is IST.

Take the dedicated metro from Istanbul airport to the city centre, last stop is Gayrettepe. Note that the card purchased for this run is not good for the city public transit. Buy or take the Instanbulkart at the airport and top up with about ₺400. This is good for the metro, buses, trams and ferries. One bus ride costs ₺47.
